Farinaz Koushanfar is an Iranian-American computer scientist whose research concerns embedded systems, ad-hoc networks, and computer security.

She is a professor and Henry Booker Faculty Scholar of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of California, San Diego.

Education and career

Koushanfar obtained her bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Sharif University of Technology (BSEE ), a master's degree in electrical engineering and computer science from the University of California, Los Angeles in , and a second master's degree in statistics and Ph.D.
